Bulldogs Set for Nine Home Games, Four Road Contests
Mississippi State University has released its official 2022 football schedule, featuring nine home games and four road contests. The Bulldogs will kick off the season at home against the Memphis Tigers on Thursday, September 1st, at 6:00 PM CT on ESPN.
The home slate also includes matchups with Arizona (September 10th), Bowling Green (September 17th), Texas A&M (October 8th), Kentucky (October 15th), Auburn (November 5th), Alabama (November 12th), East Tennessee State (November 19th), and Ole Miss (November 25th). Road games will take place at LSU (September 24th), Georgia (October 1st), Arkansas (October 22nd), and Vanderbilt (November 29th).
The Bulldogs' SEC schedule includes games against all three SEC West opponents (Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU) as well as four SEC East teams (Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt). Mississippi State finished the 2021 season with an 8-5 record, including a 4-4 mark in SEC play. The Bulldogs are looking to improve on those marks in 2022 and return to bowl eligibility for the first time since 2020.
